What's the best way to get started in a "green collar" career field?
My background is in the legal field, but I have been searching for an administrative or assistant position with an environmental employer while I work towards an Environmental Sciences undergraduate degree. I’m very open to many aspects of careers possibilities within this field. I just know that being a "tree-hugging hippie" all my life, I may as well get into a line of work that better suits my character, perhaps only then I will flourish.
Why not go to work for a green law firm or legal advocacy group? They could really use your training.
What the green movement needs is people trained in a variety of fields all pushing together on a united front. Legal representation, policy advocacy and enforcement legislation are all critical and could really use your skill set.
