It’s 900 words, and we’ve been just told to do an essay on global warming/climate change.
Any other ideas apart from what they are?
Just for verifaction:)
thanks

pros and cons which in this case would be AGW and those that think AGW is a lie. maybe with an alternative theory. what do the pulbic think about this? how many believe in AGW.
how to solve the problem, renewable energy, costs. are we willing to make changes (maybe with a survey). the international side of things such as America blocking progress, Kyoto, the successor to Kyoto, should devolved countries take most of the blame because they caused most of the problem, should we expect third world countries to make as large cuts as devolped countries.
the science behind global warming. the greenhouse effect and the enhanced greenhouse effect. (if you need some help with this i can give you a hand)
what global warming will mean for vulnerable ecosystems such as rainforest reefs and tundra. any other impacts such as drought and desertification, how will this impact humans.

I dunno relate finding new energy sources as opposed to oil/coal as part of it maybe.
I like the idea of finding new energy, but when all the blabber on is "oh noes the world is gonna die oh noes" it gets kinda repetative and boring….
I gotta say I’m taking environmental science now and it all pretty much sounds the same "yay conserve" and "boo earth is dying"

Global Warming?
It’s getting warm, it’s getting hot.
Some here think it’s all a plot.
Liberals say we’ve gone to far,
and now you need to junk your car.
Park your car, get on a bike.
Or use your feet to take a hike.
Walk to work, it’s good for you.
Gasoline, you must eschew.
But cons reply, Please tell me why
you’re making all this hue and cry
there’s nothing wrong, we’re all fine
in fact out country’s just divine.
Jobs are up, and taxes down,
and all you do is moan and frown.
True it’s warming, but we conclude,
that we’ll be growing far more food.
Is that a problem, that’s really bad
it sure seems to make you mad.
We’ll grow more rice and corn and wheat
And all will have enough to eat.
But don’t you see, that’s just not so
‘cause it takes rain for crops to grow.
And places that are now just right
will turn to desert, nearly over night.
Because the weather’s really fickle,
farmers’ll be in quite a pickle
too much sun, to little rain,
it’ll really be more than a pain.
But then again, it could be worse
this warming just might be the curse
that tips the balance, upsets the cart,
and all that fresh water could be the start
Of global cooling, wind and snow
and temp’s worse than 20 below.
The gulf stream is a fragile thing
and melting glaciers could well bring
A new ice age to this green land
and let me tell you, it won’t be grand
to see that ice some two miles high
cover Montana in the blink of an eye.
The gulf stream you see really critical
and this debate shouldn’t be political
If it fails, and just stops running
the world effects will be quite stunning
The lack of heat, in northern states
will leave them in most dire straits
Folks will all leave, they’ll have to go
South of the border, down to Mexico.
What happens then, what will they do
will border guards allow them through
To change their culture, take their jobs,
You know they think we’re really snobs
That could provide an interesting basis for a GW essay
would certainly be unique

New energy sources, rising sea levels, possible solutions, human causes ( how global warming came to be) Also. my lit teacher says that in a good essay you should always mention the opposite point of view and if possible argue your point. Hope this helps!

Do something about natural disasters and global warmings part in it.
