  1. The most powerful change you can do is to your spending habits. Planting trees and other things are fine, but real change comes from our consumption. What we choose to spend out money on will affect our homes and manufacturing and eventually even laws. The only reason factory farms are producing organic products is to capture your dollar, without demand this would have never happened. We are putting fewer toxin on the earth and have slowed down the pollution of our water ways. The only reason cleaning companies are taking phosphates out of our cleaning supplies and a variety of other harmful chemicals is to get you to guy their products, without demand we would still be mixing our own concoctions or shopping for cleaning supplies at the health food store. Hundreds more acres of cotton will be planted this year with the intent to grow it organically, more cows will be allowed to graze and not be pumped full of steroids and antibiotics, fewer hormones will be put into cosmetics, less electricity will be used because appliances are more energy efficient, less oil will be burned in cars because people are moving toward better fuel efficiency, better driving habits and more public transportation, the list goes on.

  2. Of course, no. 1 is planting trees, it can prevent landslides. You can also dispose your garbage properly, avoid cutting trees without permission, don’t throw wastes on the river. Don’t use dynamite in fishing. Water your plants. And most of all PLANT MORE TREES!!

  3. Best thing you can do is not reproduce and to encourage other not to either. The planet is suffering from a plague of humans right now and each day we add another quarter of million to the throng.

  4. Turn off power switches when not using appliances (don’t leave them on standby). Turn off lights if not in the room. Recycle as many items as you can. Make your garden drought tolerant by planting suitable plants. Sign up for Green Energy suppliers. Reduce time in the shower and run smaller baths. Get insulation for your home to save on heating costs / usage. Walk instead of drive when you get the time to or buy a push bike. Change to enviro light globes. Have a worm farm at home to put your food scraps in. Grow your own fruit / vegies if you have a small area of garden. We are putting solar panels on our roof soon for electricity. Always buy efficient appliances (ie: refrigerators, air-cons, dish washers etc.). Re-use or Refuse plastic shopping bags.

I do some of these when ever I can, but I am trying harder all the time! I just wish more people would understand that we need to take care of our precious environment.

  5. Planting trees and limiting population is on the right track.

If I hear another green hypocrite talk about turning the lights off I will puke. You have to shut down power. 20 Amps per household should be enough!

  6. Ive been using the same plastic water bottle(no fancy one just what you buy)for a month. Stop buying bottled water if your in a country that has clean tap water,(I have a filter on my sink). Turn off the tv and lights when your not in the room. Use grocery bags as trash bags. Use a real coffee cup, dish, bowl, or silverware at work.Wash them and avoid styrofoam and plastic. We had a guy use 8 or so water cups per day! IDIOT! Check the oil in your vehicle.CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE!!!! Fill them to the max PSI allowed(stamped on the side of the tire). Most of all, get into a good hetro relationship and have kids. One of them might come up with the answer(s) were all looking for. Do I need to list all the smart people ever born for you to realize that we need more people to create more ideas and lead us?

  7. How about not making CARBON DIOXIDE a pollutant ?

Obamas crazy ass energy program and huge budget will almost surpass the GDP of USA..

Thats how you can save the environment..

    Deny his bogus fraudulent policies.
