What is the use of going green, or being environmentally friendly when the government is bringing?
thousands of more people into the country each year and causing more pollution. While you are taking one step forward, the gov is taking two Hundred back words.
I’m not sure how the US allowing other people to come into the country affects the environment negatively – the fact that the people are on the planet in the first place is the problem, doesn’t matter where they live….it’s HOW they live that can make things better.
Also – if you don’t change and think more about how your lifestyle and presence on the planet affects everyone that’s here and every other being that comes to the earth, why should anyone else?
Change begins with you, and me, and each individual. If everyone keeps asking why they should do it if someone else doesn’t – then nothing changes. And if everyone relies on their government to make, or even start the change – it’ll never ever happen!!
Actually, various governments (local, state, federal) often provide tax incentives or low-interest loans to help you "go green". Sometimes even your local utility will help with financing, so that they can do what they call "demand side management".
Energy crosses borders faster than people do. If people move here and use *less* energy than they did there, that is a win.
like the person said, "don’t blame the government".
Which would you prefer? To plant one tree, or burn a whole forest?
Immigration is something that is inevitable to any country. People will always be moving around the world- it happens to each and every nation. Ours happen to draw more people. And that is why Americans (some) are trying to combat this increase by being more forceful in their tactics. The government’s actions is disappointing to these conservationists, but they still are making attempts, hoping to keep the dream alive, and try to stop the problem before it’s too late.
To save yourself money, why else? Buying a fancy bottle of cleaning product containing peroxide for 10 times the cost of a bottle of peroxide isn’t being green, it’s being stupid. Buy the peroxide yourself, forget about the pretty label, use it as a green cleaning product and save yourself a bunch of money.
