What do you think humans yrs from now will say about the way in which we have impacted the climate?
What do you think humans 100 years from now will have to say about the way in which our generation has impacted the environment and responded to climate issues?
How about looking at the positives? (see link) It is good that it is getting a little warmer, whatever the cause. It was cold! Plants love it. Lower fuel and utility bills. More farm ground. "But", you may say," what about the extreme weather? or the rising seas? or the expanding deserts? or the melting glaciers?" Compared to the past decade, or the last century? Within the margins of normal variation. Sometimes worse, sometimes better. Can’t use it for an excuse to promote militant environmentalixm. A hundred years from now, they will ask: "Why did they spend so much resource on non-productivity and counter-productivity?" The biggest laugh from generations to come will be over those that promoted Global Warming prevention policy.
They will curse a specific country which no doubts historians will single out for having constantly blocked climate action at the required scale.
They’ll say "damn, there sure were a lot of suckers back in the 1990′s and 2000′s!"
I think unfortunately they will look at us as fools for not believing the sounds science behind global warming and making drastic changes sooner. They will look at us as the "now" generation for caring more about the "here and now" in our decision making instead of looking ahead at what today’s decisions may do to our kids, grandkids, great grandkids, etc… I do not think that they will say nice things about today handling of environmental affairs!
They’ll laugh themselves silly that anyone could have bought that garbage.
14 Sep 2010 … "We humans are only part of this ecosystem, and when we kill parts of this … and your ‘the consequences are dire, what do you have to lose? … As climate changes, the most seriously impacted people will be the world’s ….. Think tanks say dump cap-and-trade, pump billions into clean energy image …

It will be looked at as a time when science was ignored in favor of social justice.
They will liken it to a a much broader example of the Piltdown man hoax, and the CFC hoax.
Most likely they will look back at the peak of the warming period and go what was the big deal? We are back to where the Earth was around the year 1000AD.
Either they will shake their heads in sorrow that we were to slow to stop climate change, or as Robert Zuberin has said they will shake their heads in sorrow that we tried to stop it, because higher Co2 levels are beneficial to plants and that we were trying to "stop refertilization of the earth"
"Oops"
dont worry we’ll all die in 3 years. They won’t live to notice anythin different in the climate
Governments the world over love any excuse to control our lives, tell us what to do, what to buy, what to eat, what to think, and to raise our taxes without us rioting in the street — all because it’s "for the earth". The climate is supposed to change, it is not a static system. The climate change/global warming issue is a fraud aimed at raising taxes, destroying the western industrial base and middle class, reducing world population and controlling every aspect of our lives. If global warming is going to cause sea levels to rise why is Al Gore collecting ocean front mansions. http://www.climatejournal.org
I don’t get it…
