  1. Do your part to reduce, reuse, and recycle and encourage others to do the same. Teach by example. There are many things you can do that are easy. For example, take canvas bags to the store instead of using plastic or paper (see Source below). Buy items that are minimally packaged. Let companies know that you are not pleased with overpackaging–write letters or better yet (saves paper and stamps) send e-mails. Talk to your local grocery stores and ask them to encourage customers to use canvas bags, perhaps by giving customers who do a discount. Organize litter pickup events–many places have "Adopt a Highway" or "Adopt a Park" or similar programs where citizens can help clean up the roadways and parks. If you do participate in such a program, try to make sure what you collect is recycled.

  2. FREE CYLCE IT ON THE WEB

  3. We need more litter bins, more recycling cntres and someone suggested Police and i agree with her! You see there should be a role to be played by community wardens, they should be on patrol and able to impose very high fines on polluters. Now i know some areas do state they do but it’s only in writing! Nothing practical is ever done.

Finally education! Teach children from a very early age that their rubbish should be properly disposed of so that within years it becomes something natural to them! As for our home! Same thing! I aught my two children to pick up their toys when they were 2 years old. It was a game i made up for them called ‘Good night toys’ so they would look around, maiing sure all their toys were put away and it was a fun time before night time story and cuddle.

That’s another point! Make it fun for children to learn! They’ll always remember and practice it quicker than they would otherwise!

  4. We can get more police.

  5. Sadly, humanity is only slowly waking up to the notion that what they do on this earth directly effects it. A few more generations from now (if we survive) things will be much improved. There are green movements sprouting up all over the world. It is getting better but will take quite a long while to reverse the trend we started thousands of years ago.
