A Goat, because they eat everything, and waste nothing.
A Python, because they squeeze the life out of otherwise healthy things. They are already green too.

A dog, I would think. It even wipes clean the ground with its tail before it sit down.
It is on of the smartest animals.

Its not an animal but I like the full-size SUV. Nothing like a vehicle that gets 5 miles to the gallon for the environment.

A panda would be good because they’re endangered.

A lizard, say the western fence lizard. They live a hardscrabble life, can even lose part of their tail and survive, their blood is able to neutralize what causes Lyme disease, and they’re a vital part of the food web for many species. This creature symbolizes how hard it is to survive i.e. be green, how setbacks like the loss of a tail can be overcome, and how they contribute to the world around them. I vote for the lizard!

a cow because you can use its dropping for fertilizer.

The Wolf.
It is endangered, yet is being threatened with extinction through government-sanctioned hunting programs, even after intensive private efforts at restoration. The wolf is the American symbol of the struggling wild.
It is also an apex predator (top of the food chain), and predators are being pushed out of existence through competition and urbanization.
