What are some possible outcomes or results of going green?
Im doing research for school and Io was just wondering what the outcomes of going green are such as economic stimulation, slowing global warming, conservation of fossile fuels and the stop of deforestation.
btw please include sources
well for one we can save our planet and make it a better place for tomorrow
Hey this is a really good site for that sub. Check it@ http://planetgreen.discovery.com/go-green/ultimate-go-green/
you answered alot on your own. You might want to add, going green by use of cleaning items cuts down chemicals you touch and breath in. In cars, ethenol gas (made from corn) burns cleaner and saves on our natural resources. Cleaner air means cleaner ozone. The more we can go green everywhere, the less global warming there will be. In turn, if we can cut down or even stop global warming our ice caps will stop melting and that will save our animals such as the polar bear, whih rely on the icelands where they live. Many of our creatures are in danger of death due to the warming of the earth. If you think about it all,
it really makes a complete circle One thing affects another which affects another and so on.
I am not sure if you can add in about pharmaceutical drugs and how they are wrecking our water supplies. By this I mean dumping drugs down the drain or down the toilet. This is very dangerous because it is returned to the water ways after the waste is processed. There are no mandatory regulations for getting rid of most pharmaceutical drugs. I say most because I don’t know all the drugs out there and the process for removal. The waterworks in your area probably does not check for pharmaceutical drugs in your drinking water. Now don’t go out and buy bottled water for this reason. Most bottling companies don’t check either. The only process I know of to remove these dangerous chemicals is to use reverse osmosis water to drink. A good place to get this water is by finding a good local water supply store and inquiring on their process.
The most important result is that we can make this earth a better place, and also improve our quality of life. For instance, currently many places (like Southern California) are facing a shortage of fresh water. The fresh water levels are dropping significantly. If we don’t conserve water today (one of the ways to go green), we’ll run out of it soon. Then we’ll not have water to wash, irrigate and most importantly drink. Hence it’s very important to go green. All of us should make a conscious effort to save water and energy and recycle waste products.
