Bans on habitat destruction. For example, I live near the coast and it is illegal to cut down mangroves which grow at the shore. Thats because they provide shelter for fish to lay eggs in, etc. In south Florida, the speed limits are low on some highways because the #1 cause of death for the endangered Florida Panther is being hit by cars.
