What actions has Obama taken against climate change?
He has promised to control global warming, but has he any passed any legislation or participated in any forums on the threats of climate change? I know that there was a 70 billion dollar investment in renewable energy in the stimulus package, but anything else?
USA IN NOT A SIGNATORY OF KYOTO.
ACCORDING TO THE WORLD BANK THE DEVELOPING NATIONS (80% OF THE WORLD POPULATION) HAVE TO "PAY" FOR 80% OF THE GREEN HOUSE GASES FROM DEVELOPED NATIONS (20% OF THE WORLD POPULATION)
SO TO SAY THE DEVELOPED NATION HAD MORE THAN THEIR FAIR SHARE OF CO2 EMISSION EN THEY DONT WANT TO "PAY" FOR IT. DEVELOPING COUNTIRES HAVE TO "PAY" FOR IT NO MATTER IF THEY WANT TO OR NOT.
FURTHER DEVELOPED NATIONS HAVENT YET AGREED TO SUPPORT DEVELOPING NATIONS FINANCIALLY OR TECHNOLOGICALLY WITHOUT WHICH THE DEVELOPING/EMERGING NATIONS WOULD HAVE A LARGE BURDEN ON THEIR ECONOMY.
EMERGING ECONOMIES ARE NOT WILLING TO AGREE TO FIXED EMISSION CUTS BEFORE DEVELOPED NATION DO THEMSELVES.
What actions has Obama taken against rain?
That question makes just as much sense.

As you are likely aware, a President does not pass legislation. There’s that little constitutional detail about separation of powers. The House passed Waxman-Markey, but the Senate has yet to vote on it. Health Care has dominated the Senate’s time. Meanwhile Obama has subtly threatened Congress to get it done by considering regulation of gasses through the EPA. Regulation is a heavy-handed alternative to the free-market approach in Waxman-Markey. Meanwhile the administration has been negotiating globally in Bangkok in advance of the big conference in Copenhagen in December. Obama has not said whether he personally will appear at that conference. The administration is pushing ahead, but the Senate has been understandably bogged down with Health Care, the economy and two wars.
Hope and Change and printing and spending a trillion dollars
Hey when he announced he was running for office global warming had already been over for more than a year and he knew it was over when he made the promise. Why do you think he and his administration are doing a ton of liberal actions and he has made not real moves on the climate or warming. It is because he knows for Absolutely certain that global warming is a historical issue and he will be 50 years in the grave before it even potentially might be a problem again. Now cooling just might be a serious problem because we still do not know if the current cool down is a short 50 to 60 year one like the last 4 of the little ice age or if the interglacial is over with and we are returning to a full ice age. Not one single scientist that specializes in this can provide a rational answer to this question!

He is wagging his finger
Proposing new taxes
Pissing away our money on non competitive energy
While flying Air Force One to dinner in New York.
What can I say, he campaigned on change.
He’s not the godlike Bush who can summon hurricanes to New Orleans.
Quite a bit. He did a lot just in his first 100 days.

He’s also supported the cap and trade legislation which is being debated in Congress, and said the US will play an active role in the climate talks in Copenhagen in December.
A president doesn’t pass legislation so there’s a limit to what he can do, but Obama is doing what he can.
He can promise anything he likes, but until he can put a thermostat on the Sun, there is nothing he or any other puny human can do to interfere with the Earth’s natural climate cycle!
Obama is definitely trying to add taxes.
Funny side note though. They are going to try to pass the Cap and trade bill in the dead of winter. So we will see a bunch of AGWers freezing their butts off while they petition for a stop of global warming. It will be hard to miss the irony.
