The Sun Shines Again

It’s a sunny day. Everyone, thank God it’s a sunny day. The Water in the super typhoon Pepeng has changed course leaving us unharmed. As the whole country prayed last Friday, the core of Pepeng calmed down and the negative energy of the water was neutralized.

I have been talking about the Water lately. In 2006, the talk about several areas of the Earth submerging due to climate change prompted many people, organizations and nations to act. I was then in Misamis Oriental where I first realized the truth of the rising water. Living some 20 meters away from the beach, the water successfully broke all the fence, cottage and trees in front of our house in a powerful rage that lasted in a few hours. It was then that I realized that lowlanders should start considering of moving to higher grounds.

When relatives and friends told me to go home in upland Cavite, I told them that water is everywhere and we cannot avoid it. Like the people in Metro Manila who never before experienced being flooded, they were not exempted when the Water penetrated several parts of the city. Therefore, it is not a matter of where one lives but how one thinks.

Last Tuesday and yesterday, one week after the wrath of Ondoy, I was with my fellow pranic healers who were affected by the flood. They have several stories of survival but they also have several stories of realization. They lost everything, all the material things that they have built and created over the years of work and struggle, and the building and creation that took years were destructed in one day.

While sharing their stories, there was no more pain. They were already in kidding mood, as if everything was just a joke. They said they have lost everything, but they have gained more wisdom from the event. They said that the material things are indeed not permanent; that it is the Higher Self, the spiritual aspect of every person that is much more important than anything else; that if the spiritual aspect is deeply rooted, any danger and calamity can be overcome. How fast were they able to stand!

Despite the difficult challenge, they held on to their faith. They remained calm as they were continuously blessing their families and neighbors who were on the same situation. They were not as heroic as those who died saving other people, but their stillness and knowledge of pranic healing techniques definitely saved more people and other non-human living beings.

Mother Earth is still undergoing changes and healing herself. All of us who have caused “pain” to Mother Earth and Her Waters are not exempted from the effects of what we have done. However, we have more time to make up and “apologize” to Mother Earth by cleaning our mess. Participate in the world effort to reduce the effect of climate change. Start from the home and on to the greater community. Foremost, tap your inner power and connect to the Supreme source of Light, Love and Power. Though we may still find ourselves in the middle of the water when the time comes again, but if the faith is strong, we will definitely float like how Jesus did it then.
