As an American do you find it weird that most Australians believe climate change is the result of humanity?

‘the cause of climate change is humanity’ is taught in Australian high schools and is widely regarded the truth in Australia. However most Americans don’t believe in this.

What do you think?

What is the best way to dispose of, or recycle dead batteries ?

Posted in Green Q&A | 7 comments

I recently took all of my dead batteries to a "Batteries Plus" franchise because last time I was there I saw a bin where you could throw out used batteries (assuming they recycled them somehow.) However this time I didn’t see that bin, so I asked the gentleman working there and he said nowadays you can just throw them out in your regular garbage. I find this EXTREMELY hard to believe. Is there any truth to this ??? Or is there a better way to responsibly recycle them ???

What is the immediate benefit of "going green"?

Posted in Green Q&A | 10 comments

I have heard so much discussion about trying to be more environmentally friendly including buying organic, purchasing cars that uses less fossil fuel, drinking tap water instead of bottled water, using more environmentally friendly materials; the list goes on and on. Yet what immediate benefit can one say to convince either oneself or others that "going green" is a good move? Or are the effects going to be long term, if there is any at all, that no one will know until 50 years or 100 years or more? I need help deciphering truth from panic. I want to help what lives in this earth not help destroy, how does one do that?

How can cow farts and moose burps acutally contibute to global warming?

Posted in Green Q&A | 12 comments

There was a report on our news stations that cow farts and moose belches are a contributor to global warming. No kidding. They said that large amounts of methane are in it and it is a contributor to global warming. Is it really true?

Finally and most importantly, does this mean when I eat beans, global warming strengthens?

How far will global warming deniers go to avoid the facts?

Posted in Green Q&A | 15 comments

Mr. Jello – he of "top contributor" status in the global warming section – has now blocked my ID so I can no longer correct his incessant distortion and ignorance of the scientific facts regarding this subject.

This is not the first time a global warming denier has blocked my ID – I was also blocked by someone named "the_CO2_agenda_is_a_lie" and "a_bush_family_member" for the same reasons.

Are global warming deniers so afraid of the facts that they’ll censor people who try and use scientific facts to convince them that they’re wrong?
Boy you just have to love that logic – ‘Bob blocked me so I blocked you’.

The logic of a global warming denier, ladies and gentlemen.
Not to mention the paranoia and ego of "everyone has an agenda (except me)". LOL!
Bob – the quote is "you can’t HANDLE the truth!". But no, I haven’t seen Jello post anything that wasn’t simply either his uninformed opinion or a distortion of the truth (at best).
dad – yes, if you click on his question and it says "You cannot view this question at this time", that means he’s blocked you.
Chuda – Y!A finally (and correctly) reversed the ban on my account:
