We have a 100% electric house. We live in a rural Texas town. We are upset about the cost of electricity and we were wondering what the cost would be to change from Electricity to solar power or geothermal energy to use in our home? I’m looking a battery for use with solar power and it has the following specs.

Volts 12
Capacity @ 20-hr rate 120
Capacity @ 100-hr rate 145

How does this translate into running a 1000 watt appliance and how long you can run it with this battery.

I’m looking for dollar amounts, NOT arguments on whether solar power is efficient or worthwhile…If it matters, the house would be in northern Ohio, 1700 sq ft, built 1975. Thanks!
