what college major is good for studying global warming and energy conservation in engineering?

Im really interested in trying to make renewable energy, helping with global warming, and trying to conserve energy. I really like topics like solar panels, "go green", etc. I saw a major that was energy engineering and that was perfect, but just at one college. what other majors are like that? please help!

My school does not have a lot of funding and we are always trying to do things to raise money. Keeping this in mind I need to know what to do to start a green club I don’t really know what I am doing and pretty much all I know is that i love the environment, I am in 8th grade and i made my house green by getting solar panels and a half gas half electric Prius! Please I REALLY need your help!!!

My girlfriend and I have just bought a camper van, and we would like to hook up some roll up solar panels to a spare car battery so we can store energy in it to use with small electrical appliances.

I have no idea about how this could be done, if it is even possible. I would be very grateful for any help on how I might achieve this.

The plan is to use the other battery to run small electrical appliances, phone charger, music etc, not to charge the actual car battery. I should have made that clearer to start with, I apologise. But your replies are still all helpful!

I was thinking of using the roll up solar panels that are available, does anyone know where I could buy a kit online that would contain the right battery and other components that are necessary?
