Question: do “global warming” deniers think that there is a layer of pollution around the planet?
keeping it cooler than it would be, if there were no pollution?do you believe pollution does not block any sunlight? That it has no effect on our climate, and maybe global warming is actually worse than we realize?….like the pollution is protecting us from global warming…”Global Dimming”?…….this IS a very political issue as we know.

Answer:

Escape The Footprint – Pollution Climate Change

Carbon emissions, in high concentrations, are dangerous to our environment. In the deep need of conserving the environment, we must learn ways on how can we save the environment as a whole. We all can see the effects that pollution climate change is giving us.

Carbon, also known as carbon dioxide, is one of the important greenhouse gases, together with water vapor, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. Carbon Dioxide is also known as the chemical that is created as a result of human activity and organism processes. Greenhouse gases help keep earth warm and make the Earth’s surface suitable enough to maintain life. Unfortunately, when the concentration of greenhouse gases exceed, the surface temperature heats to an intolerable point. This is known as the greenhouse effect. When greenhouse gases increase, plants, trees, water organisms compensate by using sequestered carbon to increase photosynthetic processes that increases its growth by 50%. This in turn lowers the carbon concentration in the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the problem in the scenario is: how did greenhouse gases exceed their concentration?

The answer is that artificial and man-made products produce increased carbon emissions. Such as the industrial revolution and the rise of oil industry, burning of coal and gas, deforestation, and the increase of vehicles that emits high carbon content. To globally decrease carbon emissions, carbon emitting industries should be kept to a minimum however it is a huge change in the industrial market. A global answer is that, each and every individual should exercise environmental responsibility. If plants compensate by using carbon, then a number of plants should be planted.

Deforestation should be kept to a minimum, and every tree that is used will be replaced by planting another tree. Vehicles should undergo emission testing, a process that analyzes vehicles for too much emission of carbon. In some countries, battery powered cars and solar cars have been introduced. These are just some efforts on how can we save the environment.

In conserving the environment, each and every citizen should exercise environmental responsibility in conserving the environment. Every small change can contribute greatly to how we can help the environment.

Mary Robinson’s lecture took place on November 23rd 2010, and focused on reshaping the debate on climate change to focus on justice in the developing world and how addressing the issue of climate change must address the issue of justice also. According to the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice: “The debate on climate change is becoming tense and obscure. It is being lost. It is time to change it – and the change means talking about two things: what we can do right now, and who will suffer if we fail.” The lecture was the eleventh in an ongoing series organised by the EPA. The series continues in 2011 with Climate Change — The Transport Challenge on February 1st and Climate Change & Agriculture : ensuring food production is not threatened on Tuesday 15th March. Both of these talks will also be made available on YouTube. You can watch all the videos in the lecture series on YouTube, see: www.youtube.com Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and former High Commissioner for Human Rights at the United Nations and most recently Head of Realizing Rights: The Ethical Globalization initiative has established the Mary Robinson Foundation -Climate Justice. The Foundation is a centre for thought leadership, education and advocacy on the struggle to secure global justice for victims of climate change who are usually forgotten — the poor, the disempowered and the marginalised across the world. The Foundation is based at Trinity College, Dublin. The EPA has established a

Global Warming~?

Posted in Green Q&A | 6 comments

Global Warming is a topic that can be all pointed to ones opinion.
Over thirty years ago there were scientists saying it was global cooling and now they are saying that it is global warming.
One thought is that Global warming is real but not to the thoughts of what people think. Global warming is the heating of the earth but not that it’s due to man-made problems but it’s due to the Earth’s cycle. The Earth heats up and cools over time as it always has and always will.
And then theres the other though:
Global Warming is because of pollution people put off. It’s man-made and can be helped if we act now.
…………..

What’s you’re opinion?

How does taking short, cold showers help the environment?

And how does saving energy help the environment?
But how does saving energy help the environment?
Nobody has answered why using a lot of energy is bad for the environment…
Amy, you said something about eating fish. I thought environmentalists didn’t eat meat because of all the slaughter house pollution and such? I read something about it once, but can’t remember all the bad stuff that comes from it.
