Which of the following is NOT an alternative fuel (energy source) produced by bacteria?
A) Hydrogen
B) Ethanol
C) Methane
D) Methanol
E) Lactic acid
Do you know why it is important to recycle?
When we recycle, we are taking back some of our nonrenewable resources and gaining the ability to reuse them. Considering things like minerals, coal, and fossil fuels are in short supply, it is important that we take every opportunity to make the most of these dwindling natural resources. We need to use landfills only when we have done everything necessary to reclaim any useful waste.
Did you know that methane and leachete are both byproducts of slowly rotting waste created in landfills? Where methane occurs naturally and has the potential of being an energy source, leachete does not have benefits; in fact, it has to have special holding ponds with bacteria added so as not to contaminate water sources. Even closed landfills have to retain insurance for a period of 30 years due to possibilities of explosions!
Also another thing to consider is that if we recycle and compost, then our need for mining and garbage pickup would be virtually eliminated!
How can cow farts and moose burps acutally contibute to global warming?
There was a report on our news stations that cow farts and moose belches are a contributor to global warming. No kidding. They said that large amounts of methane are in it and it is a contributor to global warming. Is it really true?
Finally and most importantly, does this mean when I eat beans, global warming strengthens?

I have a 300+ Cow Milk Farm for cheese production. I’ve been thinking about trying to recycle the Manure for methane fuel and maybe packaging up some as organic fertilizer. Also, I am interested in placing up some solar panel arrays and exploring any other new Green Tech and Resources out there. Am very interested but don’t know where to start.

Say for a fact that we know that man is the main driving factor behind climate change. Just because the temperature has risen from a global minimum and CO2 has increased during the same time frame doesn’t mean that CO2 and methane are driving the temperature change.
For MTR and others who spout the use of tree rings etc to recreate past temperature history, than why does the US EPA now is seriously doubting this information? That is one of the points that I am trying to make, the more research into the climate the more the AGW models are being filled with doubts.
