How much does monthly recycling contribute to the environment?

Posted in Green Q&A | 8 comments

I planned on starting to recycle every day items (cans, paper, bottles, etc) around my house instead of being wasteful and throwing them away. This was just so I could feel like I was helping the environment out a little bit. However, I wanted to know just how useful one person’s monthly recyclables are to helping the environment. Like 2 full garbage bags worth per month.

Where should a college student who wants to "go green" start?

Posted in Green Q&A | 6 comments

I am a college student who is partially, well aware of the threat of global warming. However, being a college student sets me a little back with going green, because I am limited to spending and going green from what I have researched tends to be a little bit more expensive.
I know that recycling can help but what are some other ways that help, that I may not be aware of and that I can inform my roommates, friends, peers, and family about?!

Thanks in advance, this is something I really want to learn more about!

GLOBAL WARMING……………………..?

Does anyone know if anything is being done about Global warming or if any success in stopping it has happened, or if someone has come up with a solution and is trying to get people to make it change. I know Al gore Emphasized this in his "An inconvenient truth video" I wonder if he was taking seriously by people. It seems like it has been a longer colder winter this year so maybe something has changed a little bit. Does anyone know?

Which is the current viable solar technology that one should opt for to produce, to avoid expensive R&D?

Posted in Green Q&A | 2 comments

Hi,

For a school project, I was asked to setup a business model for a solar production factory. But I am stuck a little bit. The main thing that I have a problem with is to understand the difference between panels, voltaic solar and film or paint. Which is the current viable technology that one should opt for (to produce), taking less risk depending on future developments?

Can anyone help to clarify this for me?

Thanks!
