what the u.s.a. energy problem and alternative fuel problem is?
the problem is the u.s.government ! they have been protecting the oil companies because they get alot of lobbyists that donate or give them money. also president bush and cheney own and have investments in oil wells so it would not be beneficial to them or the oil companies. the smartest country was Brazil that learned from the 70′s oil crisis. as we laughed at them for investing time and money into there infrastructure to grow sugar cane to convert to ethanol. now they are oil independent and will not suffer from market price volatility. we could buy the sugar cane or ethanol from them but of course we have put a tariff on there ethanol making it not attractive to import the reason to protect our farmers which in turn have caused foods to become more expensive. the problem with this country u.s.a.
is the people have never been able to organize large enough protests like they do in other countries to demand immediate changes. u.s. energy department they have had no energy policy.
Why might oil companies support hydrogen as an alternative fuel?
A: Hydrogen has no COGS
B: Hydrogen requires a refueling infrastructure
C: Hydrogen is so expensive that consumers wont want it
Is the Hype round Alternative Fuel really just a Placebo to distract us..?
from the a much easier solution?
i.e. improving our public transport services, as buses, trains and minibus style taxis use just a tiny fraction of the fuel (per person) than cars use. No infrastructure would need to change, in the case of buses and taxis – the solution would take only months to manufacture, and only a couple of years to dramatically improve train services. It needs no technological development whatsoever.
So is the hype just one more way of not doing something positive?

Why not use American hard earned Tax Bailout money to provide our citizens with a green infrastructure? Hydrogen fillup and cheap air resupply stations? For green cars that are supposedly so far away from becoming a reality today. Why are we bailing out banks and non competitive auto companies when we could be building green and greener freedom jobs?
