What Bible texts support some GW-opponents' beliefs that God will never allow humans to impact climate?
In talking with Evangelical Christians, I have found that many say they are sure that human-caused-Global Warming advocates and scientists are wrong because "God would never allow puny humans to have power sufficient to modify the climate. Man’s powers are too small to impact the climate of the earth." But what Bible passages are used to support this claim? Or, is this simply a "doctrine" which Christians believe in because of general assumptions about the nature of God as Creator and God as the one maintaining the earth in its present form?
3 adaptations for penguins who would have to move to a hotter climate?
if all the ice has melted and the water levels have risen up to 150 metters and all that’s left is mountains.
what wouldbe 3 climate adaptations for the penguins?
- it wouldn’t be cold anymore, ovbiously. -
this is a project smart ass.
i don’t beleve in this.
why is coal a portable climate? what importance did coal carry for the countries who had it?
ten points for best answer
Coal is a portable climate. It carries the heat of the tropics to Labrador and the polar circle; and it is the means of transporting itself whithersoever it is wanted. Watt and Stephenson whispered in the ear of mankind their secret, that a half-ounce of coal will draw two tons a mile, and coal carries coal, by rail and by boat, to make Canada as warm as Calcutta, and with its comfort brings its industrial power.
Just how accurate are these climate models that predict huge temperature increases over the next century?
They predict an increase of around 5 degrees Celsius, but is it even possible to predict the climate that far into the future?
Why climate zones near the equator are more humid than climate zones closer to the poles?
My hypothesis:
because climate near the equator is a combination of cold and hot air and seasons occur.Weather is in constant change and moisture needs to be released.
Am I right?
If not please feel free to share your knowledge!!!

Why is climate easier to predict than weather?
When people make the comment that if we can not predict weather a couple of days from now, how can we predict it 100 years from now, the answer is always there is a difference between climate and weather.
So what makes climate easier to predict? Do we have such a good understanding of the earth’s climate that we can make such predictions? If so why are the oceans cooling and not warming like the models predict? Why did nobody make such a prediction?
Since everyone here knows for a fact only humans can change the climate how did the cavemen mange to do it?
I mean it was very cold during the last ice age yet the planet’s climate changed to make the earth warmer. Since everyone here knows for a fact only humans can change the climate how did the cavemen mange to do it?
If scientists cannot explain past global climate, why do they think they can predict the future?
For the past 65 million years since the dinosaurs died off, the earth’s climate has changed constantly. For the past 1.8 million years known as the Pleistocene, there has been at least 17 ice ages. Not a single scientist on the planet can explain what caused these weather patterns, yet, now all these same scientists claim to know the future. What gives?
What is the best policy solution to global warming?
In order to address the threat from global warming we need significant greenhouse gas emissions reductions. A lot of people think we need to put a price on carbon emissions to accomplish this. Many also believe this will spur innovation and create ‘green jobs’. Fossil fuel technologies are already well developed, but renewable and alternative fuel technologies can continue to develop and become more advanced for a long time.
Taking everything into consideration – the climate, environment in general, economy, jobs, etc. – what do you think the best policy solution is for addressing global warming? Does it involve a carbon tax? A cap and trade system? Something else entirely?
