Do you thing auto manufacturers should sell "green" vehicles at cost?
I believe they should. Their factories and products have created alot of polution and alot of wealth for their executives. I believe it is time for them to give back to the citizens and offer all green cars at cost. This would dramatically improve the chances of lower-income people purchasing green cars!
Okay Okay! They need to make a profit, they still should lower their prices!
When did the idea of green construction begin?
What year did green construction talk and ideas begin? Did it begin with the formation of the USGBC or were there organizations that predated this?
I’m referring to organizations, government bodies, lobbyists or "outstanding citizens"…… from modern history.
Would an Alternative Fuel Put an End to Terrorism?
Terrorism came about because of resentment of the wealth of the U.S., and efforts to destroy its property and people. Added to this are the religious beliefs of the fundamentalist Islamics, who view us as a country meddling in their affairs, siphoning off their wealth, and bringing differing beliefs to their lands. The War in Iraq has emphasized that resentment.
If the United States could find a viable Alternative Fuel and cut off its dependency upon the Middle East, would terrorism eventually dwindle away? It is true that this would further impoverish some countries in the Middle East, but let’s face it…the citizens of these countries are kept in poverty anyway, with the Sheiks and the rulers living in splendor. Would the creation of this Alternative Fuel help do away with terrorism?

Why not use American hard earned Tax Bailout money to provide our citizens with a green infrastructure? Hydrogen fillup and cheap air resupply stations? For green cars that are supposedly so far away from becoming a reality today. Why are we bailing out banks and non competitive auto companies when we could be building green and greener freedom jobs?

What would it take to convert a housing community from fossil fuels to solar energy in the home?
Serious discussion here.
How feasible is the idea of communities, towns, even whole cities being powered by solar energy? At the most, how about these communities being fractionally powered by solar energy; 40% Solar/ 60% Fossil fuels?
We’re not getting all George Jetson, here. We have practical means by which to make something like this happen. My research has lead me to believe the problem comes in with the initial setup.
If this is so, what would it take to materialize the dollars? Should each State solicit a ‘solar energy’ tax; money dedicated to fund R&D solutions for citizens? Is it something that can be solicited to big business in exchange for free plugins; Staples invests in a solar power grid in Downtown Los Angeles… and calls it ‘The Staples Power Center".
