Why can't the government come up with a solid alternative fuel to gasoline?
This is a question that has probably been asked a million times over. As you all know gasoline prices are going up AGAIN and I can smell a gallon gasoline prices right around the corner. Even if the car companies start making nothing but 40 mpg hybrids this will still not solve the problem. While this might improve the environment it won’t improve gas prices since hybrid still rely on gas. If cars become more fuel efficient gas prices will just go through the roof. The people who can’t afford a new hybrid will be hugely affected. Can somebody please tell me why the government can’t come up with a solid alternative fuel to replace gasoline!!!! Is it because the Middle East will suffer when we take away their major export? Something tells me that’s the main reason.
I know everybody is for "lesser government" and doesn’t feel the government should be responsible for this. However, in the situation that we’re in any help from the government would be well-appreciated. Also, when I say "alternative fuel" I’m referring to something that can go in cars that run off gasoline. Either that or something that can run in gasoline cars with a few simple modifications.
Grease an as alternative fuel?
Since we are making some new alternative fuels like ethanol, which is made from corn, and some car companies are making cars that can run on water, do you think it’s possible to take grease, something we have so much of, and turn it into an alternative fuel?
