Prospective alternative fuel release dates?
I am writing a term paper about drilling in ANWR… I was wondering if anybody knows a possible time frame of when any companies plan on releasing an alternative fuel vehicle. If you do, please include a link to the information. Thanks!
My future car, the Chevy Volt, is supposed to be released around 2010. This baby plugs into an outlet in your garage and charges overnight, and will run on nothing buy electricity for the first 40 miles, after which the gasoline engine kicks in!
If the oil companies got permission today to start drilling in ANWR, it would take approx. 10-15 years before we’d start seeing oil from that region. Hopefully in this time, we won’t even need that oil as many of our cars might be running on something totally different, like electricity!
Hydrogen to be released on 9/20/09 and
Solar to be released on 4/25/10.
