It’s human influenced, not human made. You’re implying that proponents believe humans made climate change, and that’s disingenuous. We believe humans are influencing the climate, and that implies there are other influences.

Exactly. "Just because it isn’t warmer where you are doesn’t mean there’s no climate change." But they say this to everyone no matter where they live.
The question I ask, and no one seems to be able to answer definitively is, What is the climate supposed to be? And if it’s changing, then from what to what? All I hear is "climate change" and it’s bad.
Then when people do describe it, they’re describing the change of seasons like when all the snow melts and the days get a little warmer. Global warming is when we get heat waves in August but that’s only because we don’t like it hot.
In short, climate change and global warming simply describes weather we don’t like. But if we pay Al Gore and Obama the requested carbon credits, I guess it all goes away.
Many people don’t have the scientific background to evaluate the scientific evidence for or against it. They think that if it is hot or cold where they live on a particular day or season that that proves or disproves the case for it. You can’t look at the weather in a particular location and make a decision on the veracity of global warming. In that way it is NOTHING like the emperor’s new clothes–you can’t evaluate what’s happening globally in the long term by looking at short term weather in a particular location. People that try do this see themselves as the hero of the children’s story, when actually they are just deluding themselves about their knowledge of science and statistics.

Sounds a lot more like what skeptics are doing to me. The guys in that story knew the truth but were being purposefully deceptive.
So unless AGW is a massive conspiracy perpetrated by tens of thousands of highly respectable individuals and kept silent for decades–kept silent even by the so-called ‘skeptics’ who would have nothing to lose by revealing such a hoax–then it would seem hard to compare the two.

The premise of emperors new cloths is a group of people who refuse to see whats really in front of them, this seems a very accurate description of the denier movement in general.
Alarmists are the King’s minion who tell him how well clothed he is but in fact he is getting burned where the sun never shown before. The King’s minion always talk about the evidence yet in the end all they do is repeat the distortions from other’s who claim to see the clothes. The fact is, we don’t know what the King is wearing but I think he may be going Commando.
The amount of energy from the sun is very great. Man climate control is like poring a cup of coffee in the ocean , and expecting that U can see the effect.
Our understanding of the workings of this planet our minimal. We have only begun to scratch the surface of our understandings of it. People are saying global warming is here, but who is to say that this isn’t just a natural occurrence that happens on this planet every once in awhile. Maybe this planet goes through cycles and we have yet to realize this. Regardless of the situation, if we are destroying this planet because of our actions, this planet will eventually reset itself. This planet is not going to die. The inhabitants of the planet are the ones that need to be prepared for whats to come.

The proponents of human made climate change only see evidence that agrees with their viewpoint. They’re fools when considering anything new or different from their opinions. The world they live in is narrow minded and deceitful.
