  1. I spit out my gum becasue I heard it will choke some birds.
They hack on my house…They show up in my microwave oven pipes. They crap on my car. crap on our house and take any food away from any other bird.
Hey I litter only if I had a candy bar which I should not have had and I do not want anyone to know that I threw myself into sugar attack……..

  2. Well, it depends on how you define litter. Let’s say you mean it in a very broad sense–anything that isn’t "natural" (like an apple core, for example).

I would bet that 99% of people litter on a yearly basis. And I would bet that, if pressed, only 70% would actually think that they littered. Why? Because people are stupid. Many people do not think that tossing ONE cigarette butt out the car window is littering. But it is. Many people do not think that stuffing their garbage into non-biodegradable bags is littering. But, depending on how you think about it, it is. There is no "garbage bag" fairy who is going to make that junk disappear, you know. And degradable stuff that’s contained in a plastic, non-degradable bag (or one that takes 30+ years to degrade) is a bag full of non-biodegradable junk.

How many animals get killed? Plenty. Many die as the result of eating those cigarette butts or other crap, or as the result of getting caught in the plastic mesh stuff that holds six-packs together, or as the result of discarded antifreeze (the old kind that tastes sweet) and lots of other reasons, including decayed food. Animals (other than buzzards) will not eat decayed food unless there is no other option and they are starving. You would do the same. Unfortunately, there are too many dang people in the world, and we are wiping out the animals’ habitats and food sources, and they are desperate so they have no other option. So even if you tell yourself, "Well, I never litter," at this point you are absolutely killing animals just by existing. There’s just no getting around that.

  3. Try doing a survey on a smaller scale of ppl in your school who litter. Try this link on wildlife stats… http://www.longwood.edu/cleanva/litterimpacts.htm
