How do you think the effects of global warming will affect the earth in the next 100 years?

In 750 words or less explain how you think the effects of global warming will affect the earth in the next 100 years. If you do not believe in global warming, then your essay should be about how you disagree with the scientists that say global warming is true.
Please help me? Thanks.

  1. As the temperature of oceans rises, so will the probability of more frequent and stronger hurricanes. We saw in this in 2004 and 2005.

Increased probability and intensity of droughts and heat waves

    Economic consequences
    - costs to repair damage from more frequent storms

    Polar ice caps melting
    - raise in sea level.
-think of all the cities that are on directly on the coasts.

As northern countries warm, disease carrying insects migrate north, bringing plague and disease with them. Indeed some scientists
believe that in some countries thanks to global warming, malaria has not been fully eradicated.

  2. I recommend that you read material on both sides of the issue.

For material that supports the theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming, I recommend that you read the reports of the Intergovernmental Commission on Global Warming. (IPCC reports)

For material that questions the methodology of the IPCC reports I recommend that you read the book: "Red Hot Lies, How The Global Warming Alarmists Use Threats, Fraud and Deception to Keep You Misinformed."

  3. I believe that in a place such as where I live where rain and 3 degrees is the closest people have to summer, it will become warm and turn into Miami! Yay! (lol no just kidding about the miami thing)

  4. 100 years?!

Do you really think that the current trend; warming or cooling will be continuous over the next 100 years?

I really am not arrogant enough to think I actually know whether it will be warmer or colder 100 years from now, but I think it likely that just as in the last century, sometimes it will be warming, and sometimes it will be cooling.

Unless you believe the now infamous "hockey stick" graph, this is really the norm.

Of course I believe in Global Warming. I just do not think that it is:

    1) happening right now.
Recent Satellite data show the earth is cooling (Since 1998).

    2) Anthropomorphic
    3) Continuous
    4) A bad thing
    5) Unnatural

  5. Try this link and the ones below because humans contribute less than 1% of all gasses contribution to the poorly misunderstood green house effect.

When their predictions of a new ice age proved false back in the 70s they shifted from disastrous cooling caused from excess Co2 to excessive warming caused by Co2. Then things leveled off and started cooling after 2000 and the failure to make the expected profits off of Y2k so they played it safe this time by saying Co2 causes disastrous climate change. This way no matter which way the climate shifts they feel they can still make a sizable profit off of it. There is nothing humans can do with our current level of technology to alter the world’s climate. We are unable to make any major adjustment either hotter or colder at this time despite the claims of godlike powers by the believers. Knowing the history of the world reasonably well helps a lot to see the outright lies the promoters of AGW continually make.

    First lie.
In the last 50, 100 or 150 years temperatures have risen faster and higher than any time in history.

Truth is, in every previously recorded climate optimum period it has gotten hotter faster than it has currently. In fact the year 1400 warming went from the bottom of the wolf minimum to a peak 3c hotter than our current maximum and down to the bottom of the Sporer minimum the coldest part of the little ice age in about 100 years. Also the current climate optimum is the coldest ever recorded and is as cold as at least one historical climate minimum the Oort the came in the early part of the MWP.

    Second lie.
It has never been this hot in all of history.

Truth is that at least 3 times in the last 1,000 years it has exceeded our current temperature by up to 5c, once for several hundred years.

    Third lie
The Arctic Ocean has never been this ice free in history.

Truth is that during the Holocene, Roman and Medieval periods the Arctic Ocean was navigable most of the year most of the time. It was even more navigable during WWII than it is currently.

So it is not very difficult for anyone with a decent basic education to put the lie to any point the AGW crowd use to sell their pogrom to the less well educated.
