What should I do with old clothes that are too worn out or stained to give to Goodwill? I have enough rags and work clothes already. Is there any way to recycle them?

donate them to your local thrift store

Give them to Goodwill or some other charity. If they are no good as clothes, they will be converted into wiping cloths for industry.

Give them to a charity or to people in need or you can just donate them to a thrift store.

Well..if you have pets, you could take some out for them to use as bedding. Or make a stuffed bed out of them for the pets. I usually let my friends go through my stuff that I no longer use or wear. Then, if they don’t find anything they want, I take it to places that give to clothing to the homeless and needy, instead of taking it to Goodwill to be sold. Some people even use old clothing and stuff to piece together to form blankets or quilts.

You could use them for rags

Humane society/animal shelters are always taking donations of old cloth – old clothes, old blankets, sheets, etc – to use as pet bedding. Call and ask if they would like a donation.

some places like good will and salvation army actually go the clothes and what them deem unusable they recycle and get paid money by the pound for them and that goes towards their operating costs… so ask local thrift stores or find a big one who recycles and you are helping out either way..

If you know how to crochet, you can cut the old clothes into strips, then tie them together and use it as yarn to crochet with. There are patterns for making rugs out of strips of cloth that can be found pretty easily.
If part of the clothes is still okay, you can cut it up to make clothes for Babies and/or baby dolls or let kids use them for dress up clothes.
