How can i volunteer abroad doing animal conservation for free or low price?
I am 18 years old and want to to volunteer with animals that what i want to do in life alothough all the programs i find u have to pay for and its very expensive with international flights and the program fee! so help please its really important to me!
If the volunteer has a specialty to offer the organization, many will fund that person’s expenses. I would suggest doing your own fundraising. Earn the money you need by letting people know what it’s for. I bet you be surprised how much support you’ll get. Good luck.
You will have to pay for your plane ticket, food and living expenses on your own. There isn’t a program that will fund those things for you unless it’s the peace corp or some humanities groups- and those are based around helping people in other nations, not animals.
But you could get a weekend waitressing job, pay for that and then the rest of the time volunteer at a shelter. And I agree with the above answer – I bet you could get quite a bit of support by sending out some letters to family friends if this is your dream, you may have to do a little bit of work to get there, but you can do it, and you should definitely try and make a plan!
This site has many opportunities for volunteering, internships, and a few paid gigs:
