turn off lights that aren't being used. keep your room clean. soiled clothes take longer to heat then clean cloths. Use recycled paper. grow a compost garden.

I would try to actually not use your computer so much. Cut back your usage about 25%. When you get a new computer take you old one to your local recycling center. They will properly dispose of the materials in your PC so they won't harm the environment. That's bout all you can can do at 14.

Well you could figure out how to shut down the entire International Power Grid with your computer. This would certainly help out the Environment.

•Computer: Change your sleep settings so the computer goes to sleep after a minute. Second, shut down your computer every night. To use less energy, keep the back-light on your screen low.

•Kitchen: Make a compost pile outside of banana peels, rotten fruit, etc. This will compost into nutrient rich soil. It also reduces waste in landfills. If you can, without your food spoiling, keep your fridge and freezer a little less cold.

•Bathroom: Get a low flow toilet, or if that is too expensive, place an empty milk or orange juice carton in the back part under the lid of the toilet. This will cause the toilet to use less water when it flushes. Replace your old shower and sink heads with low flow heads also.

•Appliances: When buying a new appliance look for the energy star logo.

•Electronics: When buying a new TV, also look for the energy star logo. Connect your TV, DVD player, and cable box to a power strip and turn off the power strip every night. Even when a TV is off, but not plugged into a power strip that is off, it is still using energy.

•Transportation: Try and carpool with your friends to school.

if you have a newer comp., you can set it in energy mode.
3 settings.
Also, you can buy power strips that you can turn off when not home.
google energy vampires
or try planet green.com
