I’ve already called local garbage removal companies and searched online for recycling centers. Now what?!

I used to drive my recycling to another town since my town was not equipped, so I’m sorry that’s not even an option for you!
Contact your local city’s department of waste management/public works (often called DPW) and talk to someone about what you should do. Attend a town hall meeting. It’s easy to let things be dropped – but often they will respond in writing, or in person. Be persistent.
I’m impressed you’re trying so hard. Just think, if you can help initiate a change, what good you’ll be doing in your town! I bet you’re not the only one looking to recycle.
If you would like, post the city you’re talking about, and maybe we can help you more specifically.
Sounds to me like you need to start a recycle company yourself. You have a golden opportunity here. You already know there is money to be made and you are located in the center of an area of need for what you are interested in.

where do you live? It’s hard to figure an answer without knowing your location.

I agree with the first answer you got. Think seriously about starting your own business and be the first one in your area to do it. If you don`t trust your own judgment, get together with 2 or 3 friends in this new and exciting joint project.

Forget about recycling! First, reduce the amount of stuff you buy, then reuse all you can that you do buy. Recycling is the last choice out of reduce/reuse/recycle life of products, and the least environmentally friendly other than throwing the product out.
