I need a topic that has something to do with the environment and forestry. A topic that’s specific but not too narrow.
I am from canada.

If you want to find any environmental problems to write or present on, go to http://www.greenpeace.org/international. They have all past and present problems, and definitely has a lot on deforestation. Even though I did my presentation in the 7th grade and I’m going into the 8th grade, I know so much that I’m known as the "tree-hugger" at school and was given a Bonsai on the last day of school from some random kid. It pays to know the stuff, though.

Does the allowing of forests to grow naturally (i.e no cleaning up of sticks, or weeding out brush) increase the GW by increasing large forest fires?
I think there is quit a bit currently on that topic
how about: Should trees be cut within 100 yards of homes in woods thus decreasing CO2 uptake, to prevent fires jumping to the housing and releasing much more CO2 and H2O and many other pollutants in the burning of the house along with the forest around.
Or maybe Why people who start forest fires should be obligated by law to plant the burned area over again with young trees, and care for them properly until they are well started.
Or maybe a little play where the trees return to the people what the people do to them?
Good luck

1. Rainforestation: not just planting trees.
2. Possible causes of forest fires.
3. Logging for sustainable development.
4. Logging for sustainable consumption.
What country do you come from? Forest problems vary according to country.
