Has it been proven that going green slows down global warming?

I’m doing a research paper in school, and I really want my thesis to be about how going green will slow down the process of global warming. My teacher says I probably shouldn’t do this topic if I can’t prove that it has worked in the past.

If you have info, please leave the sources you used!

THANKS!

  1. no, going green will not slow down global warming. We can’t even prove that not being green has increased global warming.

Your teacher is right, you thieses is unsupportable.

  2. You’re teacher is right. It’s a controversial subject. There is a strong group that even objects that there is even Global Warming, much less if living green will slow down something that they do not believe in. They do believe in climate change, and thus all that is visible like glacier melt, but they don’t believe man is causing it. Many point out that rottening vegatation releases a huge amount of Co2, so the idea that man is soley responsible can be debated.

I don’t think it’s wrong to believe, but the hardest part is that there seems to be no way to really measure what man can do, that can show a decline in something that is too big to measure. The effects have a huge delay, so it’s not like you can cut x amount of emissions and see something predictable thereafter that humans could quantify.

I personally think that humans are pushing climate change along, and there is no stopping what or where it will become. Even the most rightous of Global Warming believe there has to be some expected emissions, because they don’t want to stop people from living without energy, cars, or industry. We are pretty much fighting a natural force that is all ready in place. So going it against at any level, whether actual or in any way to get people to change their ways is going against the flow. It’s like trying to stop people from having to die. Humans will eventually die, maybe not in thousands of even millions of years, but everything has it’s time, and there will be a time that nature will select humans to go extinct.

  3. NO pure and simple. It can’t hurt infact keeping our enviorment clean is ok.Kinda like keeping your home clean……..

  4. It is shown that simple things can help. Check out these links.

  5. No it hasn’t. Nobody has even proven that global warming is being caused by man.

  6. It has never been proven.
