  1. no it cant

  2. I’m sure you can since it’s made of plastic.

  3. yes u can bc i do it

  4. I don’t think that type is recyclable, to avoid guilt will you consider buying your cereal with less packaging. If you look in the buld aisle there are several varieties. You can buy a reusable cloth bag to get it home and put it into a reusable container at home.

  5. it all depends on what your local recycling company picks up contact your city or local recycler for a complete list of things and plastic #’s they accept

  6. Maybe you can if its says biodegradable on the cereal box.

  7. I don’t know if it can be recycled. I’ve found these tough plastic bags ideal for marinating meat….good luck!

  8. it different for all recycling companies. They will probably take it, but if there to much non recyclable material in the recycling it can cost the company more to recycle or even make the recycled products off spec. The best thing to do is call your recycling company and ask them. Since it is different in every area you don’t want to cause your recycling plant problems if they are not set up to handle it.

  9. no u cant. GO GET IT OUT OF THE TRASH QUICK! heheh

  10. This is an interesting question. Before recycling any questionable material check with the company that picks up your recycle items. All recyclers are not the same different companies recycle different products. In many cases if a recycler notices items in the bin they do not handle (food waste, items with food waste on them, broken leaded crystal, etc) they will throw the whole bin in the land fill rather than sort it. By the time it gets this far it is normally in a bin 50 to 100 times the size of the bin you put out. Your effort to recycle everything may end he efforts of many other people as well as your self. Ask the company for a list of unacceptable items.

  11. once it is outside of the box

  12. Nearly everything we American ConsumerS purchase can be recycled! Our recycling plants on the other hand will not. I lived abroad in Germany for three years and EVERYTHING! was recycled. My actuall weekly garbage, only filled half of a grocery bag. Germany puts America to shame in the recycling business. I love our country, but we need to get our REARS IN GEAR!

  13. Boston’s recycling program (for example) specifically says no plastic bags.

    Cereal bags can be used in place of wax paper, parchment paper, and sandwich bags in many cases. Here is a list of ideas for re-using them.

    Some grocery stores accept plastic bags in bins near their entrance. This is a tool that will help you find drop-off locations in your area:
    http://www.plasticbagrecycling.org/01.0/

    The drop-offs typically accept the following:
    * Grocery bags
    * Retail bags (hard plastic and string handles removed)
    * Paper towel and toilet paper plastic wrap
    * Plastic newspaper bags
    * Plastic dry cleaning bags
    * All clean, clear bags labeled with a #2 or #4
    Unfortunately, cereal bags are not mentioned specifically, so call to verify acceptable materials before visiting the drop-off location.
