What is that old saying that optimists love to quote; When live gives you lemons, make lemonade. Well, we are told that CO2 is causing Global Warming and is horrible thing, even though oxygen and carbon are two very plentiful elements on our Planet, they can be found almost anywhere. Humans are nothing more than carbon based bi-peds after all.

Okay, so let’s take a look at the Global Warming Alarmists and see what we can do about all this, shall we? If CO2 emissions are bad, and we want to stop this pollution then we need to invest in perfecting clean coal technologies. The Germans have come a long way in all this, and we are wise and can further this science.

The trick would be to use clean coal technology and collect the CO2 from coal fired power plants and large scale diesel motors for use in CO2 lasers to make additional energy, or for manufacturing. Also to use in carbon nano-tube construction to make the cars, aircraft, personal flying vehicles, trucks, ships, tanks, submarines, spaceships lighter and thus also more efficient.

Carbon nano-tube construction could also be used for better for ceilings in homes, building materials, roads, bridges, and well, you name it. Indeed, isn’t that a lot like taking lemons that you did not want or ask for and making lemonade with them and why not? After all, last time I checked carbon and oxygen were everywhere and the chances of ever running out are laughable. Think on this.

If we are going to get serious about cutting down on the CO2 emissions and urban heat to slow the so-called Global Warming impending disasters then we need to get together and talk about how we design our cities and how humans live in these urban settings.

We need to discuss the saving of energy and even perhaps the coating of roads and design cities to be efficient without traffic bottlenecks which makes surface transportation idle and put endless CO2 into the air. What we need is to get serious and the sooner the better.

What Can You Do?

Good question, why not try living a carbon free life. Consider how much CO2 you are responsible for? You own an SUV, better get off your butt and plant four trees please. Look around your home and by efficient lighting and pay attention to your appliances too; may as well save some water too while you are at it.

It is amazing the level of guilt that is trying to be placed into the minds of Americans these days by Global Warming Alarmists, eco-terrorists, and leftist-socialist-environmentalists. Americans should stop listening. After all, in the USA we have some of the safest water to drink in the World right out of the tap. We have fresh safe water going into nearly every major city, and each business and home in it. The Romans would have been blown away by our intensive network of waterways and pipe systems.

Additionally, we have some of the most stringent controls on our sewer treatment plants. And we have very serious stringent air-quality controls on our power plants. Americans should be proud of what we’ve done and in our efforts to continually reduce our pollution, never should we feel guilty. If anyone wants to place guilt on this great nation, they have the wrong target in mind; tell it to China, and other nations with lax-controls and only promises of future eco-green-clean-up.

Not long ago, an acquaintance, and I mean that in the loosest of definitions, stated to me; “Americans should never again say to their children “I love you” because all they are doing is pulling the trigger today, and the bullet is going to enter our children’s heart in the next couple of decades. If we are such frivolous creatures, well, then so be it, and we deserve whatever comes.”

Incidentally, this misguided gentleman is from South America and he’s been watching too much anti-US television. I ask; is he speaking for himself? I hear a lot of folks talking like that, but I ask them what have they personally done to help clean up the environment? The reality is that they’ve done nothing or very little.

Indeed, if we lie to ourselves and go about this mantra of environmental extremism to clean up the world, but in the process do it only in name, costing billions of people quality of life by over-taxing our civilizations, then we have done nothing more than lied to ourselves, thus, we are hypocrites, and I am not interested in being a hypocrite. Global Warming (CO2 theory) is simply nonsense, and if we pretend and use that as a “fear-pull” strategy to move society unnecessarily, that’s certainly nothing I am interested in.

Americans should feel proud of their civilization, proud of their environmental work, and yes, continue to improve it. But we as Americans should never feel guilty, and we must not listen to anti-American claims that we are big-polluters, as the reality is we’ve done better than most nations, and certainly better than any nation even close to our size in population. Please consider all this.

The world media has been peddling the Global Warming dooms day scenario for a number of years now, prior to that in the 1970s they were talking about the Ice Age that was going to wreak havoc on human civilizations, but which is it? It turns out it is neither, as we are not in a global warming disaster movie or an drastic cooling period; Ice Age.

So, why all the mass media hysteria scaring all the human citizens of Earth, was it all just a power play to remove the industrial power base away from oil and coal. It may very well have been, and the computer models were wrong again. Sounds like a perfect chapter for the “Shock Doctrine” or “The Black Swan” doesn’t it?

Yep, and we all can wonder what the next Y2K disaster is that we must avert by funneling 100s of millions of dollars of taxpayer’s money towards? All the while we dismiss the real challenges we face. Well, it seems we are constantly making up created realities of doom and gloom and crisis to serve the will of those who wish to seize control.

Interestingly enough, I, like you perhaps, am of the belief that pollution is bad, it is waste. I further believe that waste is a score card for inefficiency. And that inefficiency, bureaucracy, waste and indifference = Bad. And since Bad = Evil, why are we chasing ghosts instead of addressing the real issues?

Where does this leave us all? Should we continue to try to reduce pollution in the air and water? Yes, but we ought to forget about attempting to cause crisis and chaos where it does not exist, otherwise we enter the Chicken Little genre or the story of the little boy who cried; “Wolf!” Please consider all this.

There certainly has been a lot in the newspaper and on TV about global warming. In fact, there has been more information on global warming than there ever was on Y2K, which if you’ll recall was to be the calamity of all calamities caused by mankind. There were almost as many articles on Y2K in the media as during the Cold War; you remember that of course we were all supposed to die by nuclear holocaust during an exchange of nuclear weapons with Russia.

Perhaps it is time that we get the facts straight about global warming. The global warming alarmist will have you believe that the Earth is heating up and yet what you might not realize is that the world set a global cool weather record in 2007. In fact, 2007 was the coolest in the last 16 years. What does this mean? Is global warming over or did it never really exist? Does the Earth really go through climate fluctuations and cycles and there is really nothing that mankind can do about it?

Or are humans and their activities such as the emissions of CO2 really causing our climate to heat up enough to melt all the ice caps and flood every human civilization that is less than 30 feet above sea level? Isn’t it time that humans stop believing everything they see in the media or hear on TV and start looking at the facts, which by the way are not docudramas meant to scare you and make Hollywood millions of dollars on movies. Something to contemplate in 2008.

A recent study done by a top American University claims that if Russia exploded all of its nuclear weapons inside its own country that life on earth would cease to exist. This is due to the nuclear fallout that would occur if such an event indeed did happen. But is this report true? Some believe it is and others do not think so and the peer review process still debates this topic.

Nevertheless, let’s hope we never find out. The nuclear fallout would not end life on Earth in my opinion. In fact today people who live in Hiroshima have longer life expectancies than almost anywhere. Many of these studies are somewhat old including one in the archives at MIT and it should be quite evident why this report was created their and similar reports elsewhere.

MIT is only one school with a push against “evil use of the technology they create” and the American Federation of Scientists, to which I am a member also puts out information echoing the Oppenheimer motif and they are also extremely concerned with nuclear weapons getting into the hands of International Terrorists, thus you have a catch-22 right now with Iran.

Do you allow International Terrorists to have these weapons and kiss off a couple or 1-million population cities every decade or less or do you stop this insanity? Do you risk this and remain hopeful? Nuclear energy makes sense to prevent global warming and yet if all nations go nuclear there will be quite a bit of material available to make into bombs and that is problematic.

What if a Nation uses International Terrorists as a vehicle to attack another nation and that nation figures out who was behind it, then what; all out nuclear war? If all the nations of the World start mining the moon, then eventually it will be completely mined out and we will all lose as it becomes lighter with less gravity to pull on the Earth and affect our ocean currents and weather patterns. It is amazing that the environmentalists have not become alarmed at all the plans to mine the moon.

Over the last billion years our moon has helped shape our planet and species have adapted to live under the current circumstances. If our moon becomes too light, it will have less gravity and pull less on our Earth, this means the ocean waves will be less and our weather patterns will become more docile. Some have said this would be a positive trend, but not so fast.

You see we need the ocean and weather currents, they bring the rain cycles and help all living species on this planet, if that is to change, everything changes and all species are at severe risk. How serious is mining the moon, in such a scenario, is it possible to take enough material from the moon that it would affect us here?

Well, not immediately, but if all the space based nations, mined the moon, then over a few hundred years it could become an issue. If we mine the moon to make space ships, orbiting artificial moons, then eventually the moon will have less weight. Currently, China, India, EU, Japan, US, Russia and UAE all have plans for the commercialization of space.

Right now we have polluted Geo-sync with space debris and much of the lower orbits. Eventually most of this will fall to Earth, but it shows us just how careless we are with things. Can we trust humans mining the moon? Perhaps some discussion needs to start and we need a set of ground rules. Think on this. Sincerely, Lance.

The Earth we live on like any other planet goes through cycles and changes, we know this from the geological record. The Sun also goes thru cycles and periods of unrest. The Solar System in its little energy bubble travels thru the depths of space. Gravity waves affect the Earth and the core spins within. The magnetic field also goes thru changes and we all have heard of the plate tectonics and other issues.

We have sand storms distributing particulate around the world, we have seismic activity and Earthquakes somewhere in the world everyday. There is always some active volcano spewing stuff in the air. And then we have mankind putting out a little air pollution. Yet somehow scientists in Paris have gotten together and declared by decree that Global Warming is Official? But how can this be?

Global Warming by definition means that the increased temperatures is being caused by mankind. Is it really? What about all those other things? No, the Climate Scientists by-pass those issues? Solar Flares peaked at the same time as the hottest temps on record world wide in the late 1990s is that a coincidence too? Global Warming is a Lie, Earth may Heat Up, but We are Not Going to Die.

In fact human civilization should be much more concerned with an ice age than the Earth heating up a slight amount. In fact it has only heated up 1 1/2 degrees over the last 50 years and that is pretty insignificant to come up with a doom and gloom global warming catastrophe apocalyptic theory.
