Are politicians using global warming and climate change science as an excuse for regulation?
Although I believe the science for climate change is true, I believe that
1. It’s not our #1 priority
2. It’s not excuse for regulation to hurt the economy.
Your heart might be in right place, your mind could be different.
1. You are right it is not #1, 2 or even 3 priority. It doesn’t depends on people at all.
2. Absolutely truth. Economy in the crupper now.
But AGW always was, is and will be political, not science issue. Don’t mix politic and science and you will be fine.

Yes, and control as well. Regulation = control = money in the pockets of those who control. Al Gore’s science is retarded, but he knows how to manipulate people and he will have his revenge for a stolen election.
what happens is, there are immediate problems, and long term problems.
the most difficult two long term problems are climate change, and population growth. doing anything about either is extremely difficult because (A) you’re interfering with what some folks feel are their freedoms, and (B) because a lot of money is involved.
climate change is the problem. regulation at the moment is a small step in the direction of addressing the problem.
Look, the deadline is "Emmisions 10% below 1990 levels by 2020 for a 50% chance to avoid run away global warming."
Relax. Besides, those same politicians will be retired by then. Plus, many of them have bribed tickets out of that particular ditch.

But really I’m exaggerating. Most politicians don’t have these tickets. Many exceptions just so happen to be in the good old US of A, one of the most influential countries in the world! Let’s bribe them politicians! Free donuts for everyone!
I wish lobbying involved everyone getting free donuts. The world would be a better place.
I remember my father having a book 40 years ago, stating the political agenda was this very thing — creating a perceived environmental crisis to finish off their political agenda. It was very accurate, even foretelling the plan to dismantle the Berlin Wall and do away with the communist boogey man.
It’s alarming to see this author knew beforehand the agenda and accurately described the method of the elitists to focus world wide hysteria into a global unity, controlled by a global entity, the UN and all its affiliates.

Study recent history, checkout the leaders of the last 3 decades, their goals, their writings, watch their speeches…this is not a suddenly discovered climate change, its a fear propagated to change the way we think, to give up our independence, property rights and economy to a globalist concept.
