Pretend the world has run out of fossil fuels and you were the one who had to choose an alternative energy source
question #2. What is one disadvantage of each alternative fuel?

Why do I think you should be asking this question under "homework help?"
If the world would have run out of fossil fuels we might be reduced to the energy state before the industrial revolution with just a few exceptions.
We would still have hydro, wind and solar power. We might also have uranium but without the immediate use of vehicles to mine and transport the fuel from the foreign countries where it is mined it might be difficult to retain a continuous supply. We would also have wood, but I expect this resource could very rapidly be depleted.
Hydro power is good because we already have a great amount of installed capacity. Unfortunately this has also been the low hanging fruit of the energy gathering business so there is not a lot of potential expansion of this source.
Wind energy is growing fastest but it is only available in some places and it works best with some kind of grid storage.
Many of the large scale solar thermal power projects very naturally store heat that can be used at night for a continuous supply. Photovoltaic are easily scaled down but require a separate storage solution for nighttime power. Of all the solar thermal projects the solar chimney has a great deal of potential. It makes its own wind from capturing solar heat. Unfortunately it also requires a very large operation with a very large chimney.

1. Solar panels, but if there is ever a volcanic winter you could run out of solar fuel to last, plus I’m not exactly sure how it works
2. Windmills, but if there is ever a natural disaster they could hit my house plus they make the landscape look weird
3. Apparently, you can run cars on olive oil, but that doesn’t heat your entire house.
Just some guy
1. Nuclear- Dendable, long lasting and sustainable. Dangerous waste by-product
2. Solar- Clean What happens if its cloudy for a week or 2
3. Hydro Electric-Clean Location

from a practical standpoint. Wood. It’s what was used before fossil fuels were widely used. As for motor vehicle fuel probably some kind of vegetable oil diesel or ethanol from something.

1. Nuclear
2. Solar
3. Hydro Electric

All energy comes from the sun.

1. solar power disadvantage: when you live in a climate with almost no sun (like forks in the book Twilight)
2.wind power disadvantage when you live in a not a windy climate)
3.hydroelectric power (water) disadvantage when you live in the desert
